Hello and welcome! I’m Abby Boukogiannis, and I’m passionate about walking alongside individuals and families as they navigate life’s challenges and joys. With a Master of Counselling from Queensland University of Technology and years of experience supporting children, young people, and families, I bring warmth, empathy, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story.

    • Guidance for navigating complex family dynamics, separation, or blended families

    • Support for foster, kinship, and adoptive families

  • Fee: $160 for 1hr

    • Supervision for counsellors and mental health professionals

    • Case formulation, ethical decision-making, and reflective practice

    • Special focus on supporting counsellors working with children and families

    • 1 Hour session

  • Fee: $75pp for 1hr

    • Minimum 3 people, max 6

    • Shared learning through diverse perspectives

    • Emotional support and reduced isolation

    • Discussing cases collectively allows for brainstorming and collaborative problem-solving.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I work with clients experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress/burnout, grief, trauma impacts, school refusal, parenting challenges. If I’m not the best fit, I’ll help you find someone who is.

  • We’ll clarify goals, gather relevant history, and agree on a plan. There’s no pressure to share anything before you’re ready.

  • This varies by goals and circumstances. Many clients notice change within 6–8 sessions; some prefer short‑term focused work, others longer‑term.

Getting Started

  • ≥48 hours’ notice: no fee. <48 hours or no‑show: 50% of the session fee. Emergencies are handled compassionately, please contact me as soon as you can.

Confidentiality & Privacy

  • Yes. I keep your information private except in specific legal/ethical limits, such as risk of serious harm, child safety concerns, or court orders. We’ll cover this in our consent form.

  • Encrypted records are stored in compliance with Australian Privacy Principles.

Booking & Availability

  • Tuesdays & Wednesdays at 9:00am, 10:30am, 11:45am, and 1:30pm (AEST). Alternate Mondays available on enquiry. Saturdays by appointment.

  • Email or call is easiest. If you don’t reach me immediately, please leave a message and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Please provide ≥48 hours’ notice to reschedule.

Telehealth & In-person

  • Yes, secure video via Teams and Google Meet. You can have your counselling sessions in the comfort of your home, you may want to use headphones or find a quiet space.

  • I am not currently offering in-person sessions however this can change in the future.

Crisis Support & Safety
